Coast Guard Cutter Pendant Breaks Ice

Post by Patriots » April 3rd, 2019, 8:04 pm

U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Pendant, a Boston based 65-foot Small Harbor Tug, breaks ice around fuel terminals located on the Weymouth Fore River on January 22, 2019.

The Weymouth Fore River is a small bay (estuary) in eastern Massachusetts and is part of the Massachusetts Bay watershed. The headwater of Weymouth Fore River is formed by the confluence of the Monatiquot River and Smelt Brook in the Weymouth Landing area of Braintree.

The Coast Guard provides a safe, efficient, and navigable waterways system that supports domestic commerce, international trade and national defense.
