Elementary Students Learn Alaska Survival Skills May 19, 2019
May 16, 2019 - Petty Officer 1st Class Alex Major, a Kodiak-based aviation survival technician, assists North Star Elementary students with building a shelter as part of a survival skills training day on Woody Island, Kodiak, Alaska. Annually, a group of ASTs based in Kodiak travel with the students to Woody Island to teach them basic survival skills essential to life in Alaska.
