Sad September country as flag
Remembering September 11, 2011September
is here again
and again...
sadness begins
In the Gulf Coast
they fight for life
In Iraq continues
wars' strife
I used to love the fall
That was before
NYC's 911 call
and before
Katrina's landfall
I guess
I still love September...
despite the tragedies
to remember
Tragedies
that befell us all...
coming
with September's call
and dear friends
who have died
but with the ever
changing tide
September always
comes again...
ushering
with her beauty
... more
sadness in...

About Author... Faye Sizemore makes her home in the beautiful foothills of South Carolina with Grant, the love of her life, as well as three dogs, two cats, two parakeets and four nanny goats. Grant is a Vietnam Veteran having served with the US Marines in 1968-69 and is, of course, Faye's muse. Faye is deeply interested in Veterans' Affairs and Veterans' Causes. She is very proud of Grant and her poetry is an off-shoot of that pride.
