Davylyn Dennison's heartfelt song, "A Soldier's Tip", and its video are dedicated to the men and women in uniform who serve our country were it past, present or future.
About the "Music Video
The class of 2010 along with teacher, Brent Jarels, embarked on a project to honor the United States Military by dedicating a hallway in their honor and named it Freedom Hall.
On one side of the hall they painted the insignias of all the military branches and posted a banner above the door declaring, "We Support Our Troops". In 2011, more artwork was added when western artist, Steve Taylor painted two near life sizes murals and other artwork on the opposite side of the hallway going into the auditorium.
On November 9, 2011, a music concert honoring our veterans was held in the auditorium to officially dedicate the hallway. Davylyn Dennison, who is a member of the class of 2010, wrote a song titled "A Soldier's Tip" and performed it for the first time that evening.
In the past months, Davylyn with the help of many others is making the song into a music video and will launch the video on Youtube beginning the week prior to Memorial Day. The video will be viewable by typing Davylyn Dennison in the search bar, then click on "A Soldier's Tip".
Donnie Pansulla, a student at Blue Ridge High School produced and edited the video as directed by Davylyn Dennison. The song was produced by Ken Balcom, Peggie Balcom and Davylyn Dennison. Musicians on the recording are vocalist, Davylyn Dennison, Ken Balcom on the guitar, Peggie Balcom on the piano, Mark Converti playing the Cello and Bonnie Teplik on the violin.
