MOBILE, Ala. (Sept. 2, 2005) - Lt. j.g. Shay Williams, of Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans, carries a small child from the Superdome in New Orleans into a rescue helicopter today. Master Gunnery Sgt. Paul L. Atherton, 48, the 5th Civil Affairs Group, Detachment 4 chief, receives his fourth Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal from Lt. Col. Tim Mundy, the commanding officer of 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team-2. The Bloomsburg, Pa., native received the medal for his actions during Operation Matador in May.
