The guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf transits the Hudson River during the
Parade of Ships as part of Fleet Week in New York, May 20, 2009. About 3,000
sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsman will participate in the 22nd commemoration
of the event, which will provide the residents of the tri-state area an
opportunity to meet troops and see the latest capabilities of today's maritime
