The military battle crosses before him are symbolic
representations honoring the five fallen Marines who made the ultimate
sacrifice for the safety and security of the Afghan people throughout
2/4's recent deployment.
The battalion deployed to Helmand province,
Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and returned home
last month.
