Student Patriots at USA Patriotism!

Across the Sea

Thousands of miles across the sea
Men were fighting to keep us free.
Imperialism and nationalism caused it all
For it would determine the rise or the fall
The Allies or Central powers would not give in
It was all a terrible sin.
For four years the war went on
After the Prince of Austria was gone
On April 6, 1917 we declared war
Built our forces so the Allies would soar
In 1918 the Americans came in
Which gave the Germans no chance to win.
