First Crew of the USS Oklahoma City
On November 2, 2010, Ray Palumbo, Frank Zaccharo, Ralph Alfaro, Bill Crouch and Fred Kapanos all joined the U.S. Navy in 1944, serving together as the first crew of the Oklahoma City (CL-91).
Now all 84 years old, the five men look back on their role in history with fondness and respect for their once enemies.
