Rim of the Pacific 2014 Rope Suspension and Amphibious Insert
Personnel assigned to 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry conduct Helicopter Rope Suspension Training and amphibious insert capabilities with a MH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463 "Pegasus" during RIMPAC 2014 on June 30th.

Note... Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2014. Twenty-two nations, 49 ships, six submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel participated in RIMPAC which is a multinational maritime exercise held biannually in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. RIMPAC 2014 is the 24th exercise in the series that began in 1971.
