August 1, 2016 - Soldiers from U.S. Army Headquarters and
Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor fire 120mm
mortar rounds during Exercise Saber Guardian 2016 (SG16) at
the Romanian Land Force Combat Training Center (RLF-CTC) in
Cincu, Romania. This year (July 27 - August 7) approximately
2,700 personnel from 11 nations participated.
Saber
Guardian is an annual multinational exercise that rotates
among Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine. The exercise is part of
U.S. European Command's Joint Exercise Program designed to
enhance joint combined interoperability with allied and
partner nations.
Saber Guardian is part of the U.S.
Army Europe's annual training and exercise program and has
been conducted since 2013.
