D-Day World War II

"Ok, Let's Go," a movie seen at the Normandy Visitor Center, tells the story of Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower's decision to launch Operation Overlord. As one of the 20th century's most fateful events, the D-Day Invasion of June 1944 changed the course of World War II.

"The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you."
