Marine Corps was on full display on June 3, 2023, as one remarkable
centenarian and Marine veteran, Pfc. Golda Fabian, celebrated her
100th birthday in an unforgettable fashion.
Surrounded by a gathering of esteemed
Marines, the honored veteran was presented with 100 roses, each
representing a year of her incredible journey. Furthermore, she
received a heartfelt letter from the 19th Sgt. Maj. of the Marine
Corps, Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, bringing tears of joy to the eyes of
all those present.

Fabian, a true embodiment of strength and
resilience, marked a century of life on May 29, 2023, in the
presence of family, friends, and esteemed members of the Marine
Corps. The festivities held at her daughter’s house were organized
to honor her remarkable contribution to the nation and her
unwavering dedication to the Marine Corps.
The highlight of
the celebration was a moving tribute by 5 Marines, each bearing 20
roses, symbolizing Fabian's 100 years of life. With military
precision and unwavering respect, the Marines approached her one by
one, placing the bouquet in her hands. This act of reverence spoke
volumes about the bond between this nation's brave servicemen and
women, and their commitment to honoring those who paved the way.
As the roses were presented, the room filled with emotions.
Fabian, with tears of joy streaming down her face, expressed her
gratitude for the recognition bestowed upon her. She spoke of the
pride she had for serving her country and how her time in the Marine
