Marine Prayer country as flag
Should Marines Pray?
I don't know what to say.
"God help me survive"
Is it a prayer
Or just an outburst of scare.

Marines everyone
A job most would shun
Across water and sand run
I would not try
Though I dive from sky

They bow their heads to pray
On the Corps birthday
This causes an uproar.
In those who never knew
Faith and Honor of the few

Honor for those before
Served in Peace and War
Who paid the highest price
Those who came home
Only to die alone

They bow their heads
For the honored dead
Respect those left behind
Parents, Spouses, and Children
Behind till who knows when.
