Soldier

 country as flag
 
I brought him home
today

A soldier
lost
and found within the days so long ago.

A Soldier in my memory

I finished his portrait
at 2 AM
... sat
and cried 'til
3

Fell asleep

The Sun awakened me
to a new day.

He just watches
as I leave
within the darkness.

Tomorrow
is today
remembering all

of yesterday
