You served your time
in a place that most of us would call Hell.
The street, the battle, the country,
the war is not important.
Like you, there were many before,
but the words
Thank You are so very cheap.
For the sacrifice you've made,
gives me the knowledge
that when my children lay down to sleep,
they will not wake in a place called Hell. |
