Of Bush and Beans country as flag
The outcry was heard far and away before it was done
The 343rd said �Sir our vehicles won't run...
dead-lined they are and we are staying away
To go on this mission... we'd be killed today'
Send them the parts... and mechanics so brave
from the land where �Old Glory' does wave
And just this last thing they crave
�Send us... too... some clean gas... that's all we ask'
The government and top brass... they conferred
... and from the President there was heard
�Fix those vehicles and send them some clean gases
Sixty barrels of crude and forty cases...
of beans should take care of all their whiney asses'
Now... in case that you should...
don't confuse Bush the shrub...
with Bush's Beans which are very... very good...

About Author... Faye Sizemore makes her home in the beautiful foothills of South Carolina with Grant, the love of her life, as well as three dogs, two cats, two parakeets and four nanny goats. Grant is a Vietnam Veteran having served with the US Marines in 1968-69 and is, of course, Faye's muse. Faye is deeply interested in Veterans' Affairs and Veterans' Causes. She is very proud of Grant and her poetry is an off-shoot of that pride.
