The U.S. Coast Guard and partner
agencies conducted over 30 boardings that resulted in 15
violations and terminations of three illegal charter
operations throughout the areas of Miami and Key West during
Operation PAX Defender in July 2018. The operation is a
Coast Guard initiative to prevent illegal charter
operations.
