Several California National Guard members with
Joint Task Force Rattlesnake (JTFR) share their front line experiences
with wildfires that have burned across the state of California in 2021
through July 7th ... impacting the Fresno, Auburn, Mendocino, Monterey,
Camp Roberts and Redding areas.
As of July 13, 2021, a total of 4,991 fires have been recorded, burning 142,477 acres across the state. At least 119 buildings have been destroyed by the wildfires, and at least 7 firefighters have been injured battling the fires.
Riverside and San Diego counties might
require JTFR's involvement in the near future.
