Army Best Medic 2016 Competition Air Assault and Casualty Evacuation
U.S. Army medics from across the Army compete in a grueling
72-hour competition at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and Camp
Bullis, Texas to be the Army's 2016 best medic team. The
competition physically and intellectually challenges the
two-soldier teams of Army medics in a simulated operational
environment ... as they are required to do ... during an air
assault to an objective that involves taking fire to recover
a wounded Soldier (simulated) ... then move the casualty to
cover; access and treat casualty; and, move casualty through
a wooded area to stage for evacuation.
The Army's
Best Medic Competition is hosted by Army Medical Command and
conducted by the Army Medical Department Center and School.
