U.S. Army Soldiers, assigned to Regimental Engineer Squadron, 2nd Cavalry
Regiment, conduct live-fire with two weapon systems mounted on M1126 Stryker
along with the M2 Browning machine gun and MK19 grenade launcher
from dismounted positions at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany.
The U.S. Army eight-wheeled Stryker combat vehicle is significantly
lighter and more transportable than existing tanks and armored
vehicles. Its armament includes the M2 .50 cal. machine gun or MK19
40mm grenade launcher mounted in a Protector remote weapon station
(RWS); .50-cal M2 machine gun; and, M240 7.62 mm machine gun.
