Combat Readiness and Major Accident Response Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd Fighter Wing
The Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd
Fighter Wing conducts a combat readiness and major accident response
exercise during September 2018. The exercise tests the wing’s
ability to complete its mission while simulating a hostile
environment. Airmen conduct their normal training tasks in a
simulated chemical warfare environment, while also generating
aircraft launches. This exercise allows the wing to enhance mission
readiness for wartime assignments. The major accident response
exercise tested the wing’s ability to respond to a simulated
aircraft accident.
