The 192nd Security Forces squadron train
with both live fire and simulated ammunition in various locations in
Virginia during June 2018. The training took place in a controlled
environment with dye-marking cartridges that can be used to
determine where a target or person gets hit, and allows Airmen to
safely engage each other for a more realistic simulation of being
under fire.
As the largest career field in the Air Force,
it’s the job of security forces to protect, defend and fight. They
are responsible for missile security, defending air bases around the
globe, law enforcement on those bases, combat arms and handling
military working dogs.
