Squadron at Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan operates the largest
fleet of MQ-9s in the world performing launch and recovery assets.
This unique mission requires both Airmen and civilians to work
together to ensure success.
The MQ-9 "Reaper" is an unmanned
aerial vehicle (UAV) / remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) capable of
remotely controlled or autonomous flight operations. It is the first
hunter-killer UAV/RPA designed for long-endurance, high-altitude
surveillance.
