April 21, 2020 - The 168th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, ferries two new
F-35A Lightning II aircraft from the Lockheed Martin factory in Fort Worth,
Texas, to the 354th Fighter Wing, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska with many
scenic views during the flight ending with their landings.
These are the first two of the 54 F-35As
that will be stationed at Eielson AFB that combines a strategically
important location with a world-class training experience, providing
an optimal environment for pilots of the fifth-generation aircraft
to train and operate, with the 168th Wing providing aerial refueling
capabilities 24/7.
