September 21, 2020 - A U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress, assigned to the 5th Bomb Wing
at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, departs RAF Fairford, England and
flies across the Arctic Ocean to join B-1 Lancer aircraft, assigned
to the 345th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron out of Eielson Air Force
Base, Alaska, to conduct a Bomber Task Force training mission over
the East Siberian Sea.
The strategic bomber missions provide
theater familiarization for aircrew members and opportunities for
U.S. integration with NATO allies and regional partners.
