August 25, 2021 - U.S. Air Force 493rd
Fighter Squadron with the 48th Fighter Wing operates out of RAF
Leeming conducting aircraft takeoffs during Agile Liberty 21-2
(AL21-2) to demonstrate and improve interoperability and Agile
Combat Employment capabilities, which includes using new
technologies to increase their effectiveness.
The 493d Fighter Squadron, nicknamed "The
Grim Reapers", is currently the only USAF squadron flying the
McDonnell Douglas F-15C/D Eagle within United States Air Forces
Europe and has been flying the F-15C.
