U.S. Air Force F-35 Lightning II aircraft
assigned to the 48th Fighter Wing, Royal Air Force Lakenheath,
England, mission includes supporting NATO’s Enhanced Air Policing (EAP) mission at Siauliai Air
Base, Lithuania. The fifth generation aircraft will be
supporting NATO’s collective defense from forward operating locations in the
Baltic region.
These capabilities afford NATO leaders the
flexibility to project power and assert air dominance in highly
contested environments.
