U.S. Marines with 3d Reconnaissance Battalion, 3d Marine Division, conduct a
free-fall operation at Ie Shima, Okinawa including armed patrols after
parachuting.
And while the scenes are focused on
the Marines, U.S. soldiers and airmen were also involved
with the reconnaissance operations to prepare the
battlespace for follow-on actions.
The training demonstrates the joint
force’s ability to integrate command and control, expand
battlefield awareness, and conduct long-range precision
strikes as an enduring, stand-in-force.
