U.S. Marines with 2d Light Armored
Reconnaissance Battalion (LAR), 2d Marine Division, conduct
a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation (MCCRE) on Fort
Pickett, Virginia August 5-9, 2022.
The MCCRE evaluates the
combat readiness of 2d LAR in preparation for their future
deployment with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The
Marines are tasked to perform in scenarios, as if they were
in a deployed environment. This type of training is critical
for Marines to ensure that they are ready to fulfill the
mission they are given while deployed.
