Marines Conduct Sidewinder Missile Live-Fire

U.S. Marines assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron VMFA-121, VMFA-242 and Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 533, conduct a AIM 9X Sidewinder missile live-fire exercise off the southern coast of Japan ...  starting with with marines loading the missiles to the aircraft followed by takeoff, flight operations with missile fire, and landing.

The exercise was designed to increase weapon proficiency and enhance the squadrons’ combat readiness in the air-to-air environment.
