October 21, 2020 - U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. James Fredrickson, a crew
chief with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 363, Marine Aircraft Group 24,
1st Marine Aircraft Wing, and Cpl. Caleb Kirkpatrick, an aerial observer
with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365, Marine Aircraft Group 26, 2nd
Marine Aircraft Wing, participate in a nighttime tail gunnery range
certification, aboard an MV-22B Osprey in support of Weapons and Tactics
Instructor (WTI) course 1-21, Yodaville, Arizona.
The WTI course is a seven-week
training event hosted by Marine Aircraft Weapons and Tactics
Squadron One, providing standardized advanced tactical
training and certification of unit instructor qualifications
to support Marine aviation training and readiness, and
assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and
tactics.
