CV-22 Ospreys assigned to the 353rd
Special Operations Group, detachment 1, land on the flight
deck of amphibious assault ship USS Wasp in the East China
Sea during October 2018. The Air Force variant Osprey and
MV-22 Ospreys, assigned to the "Flying Tigers" of Marine
Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 reinforced, are conducting
joint training aboard Wasp to enhance joint interoperability
at sea.

Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is
operating in the Indo-Pacific to enhance interoperability
with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any
type of contingency.
The CV-22 Osprey is a tiltrotor
aircraft that combines the vertical takeoff, hover and
vertical landing qualities of a helicopter with the
long-range, fuel efficiency and speed characteristics of a
turboprop aircraft. Its mission is to conduct long-range
infiltration, exfiltration and resupply missions for special
operations forces.
