Squadrons assigned to Carrier Air
Wing (CVW) 1 depart the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS
Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) during flight operations in an
undisclosed location during December 2018.
Since
deploying in April 2018, the crew aboard Harry S. Truman
flew combat operations in support of Operation Inherent
Resolve, conducted numerous bilateral training events,
operated above the Arctic Circle, and participated in
Exercise Baltic Operations 2018 and Trident Juncture 2018
... all while flexing the U.S. Navy's dynamic force
employment strategy.
