March 20, 2020 - A slow motion look
at the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Gabrielle
Giffords (LCS 10) patrolling the South China Sea. Gabrielle Giffords, part
of Destroyer Squadron Seven, is on a rotational deployment,
operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to
enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a
ready-response force.
The ship is named after former United States Representative Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot along with eighteen other people during a 2011 shooting in Tucson, Arizona.
