continuously operating hospital, Naval Medical Center
Portsmouth. The sprawling hospital is located just across
the Elizabeth River from the Hampton Roads Naval Museum in
downtown Norfolk, Virginia, and its historic building #1
that is viewable from the fantail of the USS Wisconsin
(BB-64).
