|I found myself today|
thinking about little boys
having no cares in their play,
enjoying their toys
and whatever else they
do for fun
under a hot summer day's sun...
in a blink of time,
still on life's long climb,
they are young men
many barely eighteen...
having answered America's call
stepping across that line in the sand,
into harm's way
in a distant war torn land
doing their brave best for the USA
with some sadly taking the ultimate fall
and others returning with wounds or even less,
leaving their lives a physical mess...
All doing so for love and pride of country!
Oh, where would our blessed America be
if not for Her valiant many
who were little boys once?
