Live-Fire On PUC Michael Monsoor December 11, 2018
Damage Controlman 1st Class Jared Orler fires an M240B machine gun (above) and Culinary Specialist 3rd Class Wesley Lacy, from Brownsville, Texas, fires a .50-caliber machine gun (below). The sailors are involved in a live-fire gunnery exercise on the flight deck aboard the guided-missile destroyer Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Michael Monsoor (DDG 1001) on December 3, 2018. The future USS Michael Monsoor is the second ship in the Zumwalt-class of guided-missile destroyers. The ship is scheduled to be commissioned into the Navy on January 26, 2019 in Coronado, California.
