On June 9, 2020 ... Four-star General Charles Q. Brown Jr. was unanimously confirmed by U.S. Senate as the U.S. Air Force's chief of staff in a 98-0 vote, making him the first Black American to lead a U.S. military service. He was nominated to Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force on March 2, 2020 by President Donald Trump.
