Last Day of a Lady country as flag
Today is the last day of a Lady
The USS Constellation
Will be decommission
In San Diego today

She out served the aircraft
She was designed for
She served in Vietnam
She was home to many

She has already been stripped
Of everything easily removed
Twenty feet higher in the water
She heads for Washington and mothballs

Like the Gentleman from Georgia
President Jimmy Carter,
USS Constellation
will be replaced by Ronald Reagan
