March 23, 2020 - Scenes of a drive-through
COVID-19 test collection and pre-screening for military veterans at the
parking lot of the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in
Little Rock, Arkansas.
Veterans referred for testing by their
provider are swabbed without having to get out of their vehicle,
while other veterans are pre-screened in a covered location outside
of a vehicle. Most test results currently take about a week.
John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital also
provided curb-side pharmaceutical
pick-up site for Veterans with urgent prescription needs.
The John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans
Hospital is part of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System,
which consists of two main VA medical centers and eight
rural Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
