Inspiring 9/11 20th Memorial Ceremony
September 16, 2021
September 11, 2021 - Inspiring scenes of
remembrance and honor during a memorial ceremony conducted at the
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Alpine Border Patrol Station on
the 20th anniversary for those lost on September 11, 2001.
A Border Patrol Honor Guard dips the
flags of the State of Texas and component flags while the
American flag stands tall at the beginning of the ceremony.
A Border Patrol Honor Guard and flag
detail moves around the large piece of steel from the World
Trade Center Towers.
Two members of the Border Patrol Honor
Guard stand watch with bowed heads next to the piece of steel
from the World Trade Center Towers.
A mixed formation of law-enforcement
personnel stand proudly as they observe the moving ceremony.
Alpine Station has a direct connection to the
terrorist attacks on 9/11 ... as there was a ground-breaking
ceremony that fateful day for the station building. Ten years after
the event a memorial using a large piece of steel from the World
Trade Center Towers was erected and now stands as a reminder of the
importance of Customs and Border Protection's mission of keeping
America safe from future attacks.
