Scenic Muddy Creek Falls March 30, 2024
A captivating scene of the 53-foot-tall Muddy Creek Falls along the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail that the flowing water below merges with the Youghiogheny river shortly afterwards. The falls developed in the Pottsville Formation, which consists mainly of cross-bedded sandstones and more easily eroded siltstones and shales. The must experience landscape of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail has something for everyone.
