USAF F-22 Raptor Soars Over JBER

July 22, 2025 - Stunning view of a U.S. Air Force pilot soaring his F-22 Raptor over Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, in support of RED FLAG-Alaska 25-3. First held in 1976 as COPE THUNDER, Red Flag has grown into an annual 10-day training event where U.S. and international forces come together to sharpen their air combat skills.

The U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor is a fifth-generation, stealthy, multirole fighter jet ...  combining stealth, super cruise, maneuverability, and integrated avionics to achieve air dominance and perform both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. While its maximum speed is officially classified, it is in excess of Mach 2.25 (approximately 1,700 mph).
