USS Bainbridge, USS Mahan Transit North Cape Fjord September 4, 2025
August 29, 2025 - The Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) and USS Mahan (DDG 72 transit the North Cape fjord in the Barents Sea above the Arctic Circle. The destroyers are part of Carrier Strike Group 12 that is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations to support the warfighting effectiveness, lethality and readiness of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa and defend U.S. Allied and partner interests in the region.
