November 13, 2025 - U.S. Marines and Sailors with Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina reenact the Marines during World War II placing Old Glory on the summit of Mount Suribachi during the battle of Iwo Jima on February 23, 1945 ... that became the enduring symbol of the battle.
