EOD Airmen Conduct Controlled Explosion January 6, 2026
December 30, 2025 - U.S. Air Force explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) Airmen with the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron conduct a controlled explosion within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. The team practiced a technique used to ignite nearby terrain, making the ground more challenging to pass for approaching adversaries.
