July 5, 2026 - Machinery Technician Chief Petty Officer Edward Schwager, assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard Special Missions Training Center (SMTC), Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, operates a Coast Guard personal watercraft near the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor during Sail 250. Coast Guard personnel from across the service are supporting maritime safety and security operations throughout the event, which commemorates America's 250th anniversary and brings together tall ships and naval vessels from around the world.
