Marines Live-Fire M252 Mortar - PR26 July 29, 2026
July 23, 2026 - U.S. Marines with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 26, fire an M252 81 mm mortar system round as part of a live-fire mortar exercise during Predator’s Run 26 at Townsville Field Training Area in Queensland, Australia. Exercise Predator’s Run 26 is a trilateral training event integrating forces from MRF-D 26, Australian Army 1st Brigade, 1st Division, and the Philippine Army 1st Brigade Combat Team, designed to enhance combat readiness of regional allies through interoperability.
