USAF A-10C Thunderbolt II Over Southern Arizona August 1, 2026
July 28, 2026 - A U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II aircraft assigned to the 357th Fighter Squadron flies over Southern Arizona. The aircraft's 30 mm GAU-8/A Avenger cannon and close air support capabilities earned it a reputation as one of the Air Force's most effective combat platforms. For decades, A-10 pilots have trained in Arizona's expansive airspace to maintain combat readiness for global operations.
